Animal or Human?

I think "30 Days in September" is a good drama to read. (I think because it is good, that's why Dr. Edwin chose this drama as one of the dramas for us to read in the EDU3217 course.) This drama shows us one of the ugly side in this world, which is child molestation. Human now are so animalistics (I think we are animal also, as we are also one of the species in this world, which is Homosapiens.) Children are innocent and so angel like, but those "animals" still want to ruin their future by letting them having a bad memory for their whole life. Maybe I should not call them as animal, as animals are better than them too! Dogs will protect their owner if their owners are in danger. Cats will loyal to their owners no matter what happen to them. Hamsters are so cute until we will feel happy after we see them or play with them. Human now had become worser than animals. It is so sarcastic as we are calling ourselves as the special one as we got mind and we know how to think. But! Do people now think before they do anything?! If they do, there won't be Child Molestation happened in this world! There will be no raped cases, robbery, snatch thieves, you named it! As a future teacher, I think I got a big responsible in handling the unfortunate victims of all these crimes. I need to know what are the symptoms of these unfortunate victims. For instance, they will be anti-social, always put themselves in trouble etc. It is time to change our world into a better world. Do change now people, your help and love are needed in order to built a better world.

hi..eunice...yup..i agree with you..in my opinion, peoples nowdays are more dangerous than animals..we can prove it by watching news, there must be some news about violation among peoples..childrens and adults. i still cannot understand why does peoples still acting like they don't have brain?God already give us brain to think what is good and what is bad so that we are diffrent from animal..now, i think most of peoples acting like they were an animal. That why, we as a teacher must also provide them with morale value, not just academic thing..parents also have a big responsibility to guide our future generations so that they still remain the humanity. To me, reading this drama is a good thing and and there is so many morale value that we should take notes and we should thanks to Dr. Edwin because he chose this drama for us to read. That all thanks..bye...

Wow...Eunice I have to agree to what you have said. The only dispute would be that the title of your blog is surely-Animal. No “human” would ever have the heart to do such deeds to small innocent kids who don’t even realise what has been done to their body. Thirty Days in September serves as an eye-opener for me. I have heard of child molestation for a long time but never had I the chance to see the pain in the eyes of the victims. I think Mahesh Dattani has done a great job in highlighting the issue of child molestation and moving the audience closer to the characters in the play (as if they are part of the character). He has brilliantly illustrated the dilemma that exists in the molest victims. Maybe some think that these victims can move on in their lives and think it as a bad dream but in this play it is obvious that they bear the pain and it keeps on haunting them...creepy huh... One thing that I was sure about and I think all of us must take into consideration (as future teacher and parents) would be the safety of children b e it-girl or boy. It is in our hands to stop these actions or at least play our role in educating the children about this issue and create awareness to them.
